We Make Compassion Unavoidable.
What started out as a daily protest has evolved into The Valley of Change, a multi-faceted organization committed to uplifting Black lives. We provide vital mutual aid to our unhoused neighbors and those experiencing food insecurity, as well financial literacy programs, wellness workshops, and monthly community cleanups to foster volunteerism and neighborhood pride. Our corner has grown into a powerful symbol of collective strength, where love, justice, and unity guide us in building a thriving and inclusive community for all. Since May 31, 2020, our founder, Latora Green, has been a beacon of resilience, compassion, and justice. Every single day, she has protested against police brutality, channeling the grief over the murder of George Floyd into a movement of empowerment and community action.

Since our founding, The Valley of Change has made a tangible difference in the lives of countless individuals across Los Angeles. Through our financial literacy programs, wellness workshops, mutual aid efforts, school supply drives and monthly community clean-ups, we have empowered Black lives and underserved communities by addressing racial, social, and economic inequalities. Our consistent advocacy for justice and equality has provided vital resources—from food and hygiene kits to emotional and mental health support—helping individuals thrive and regain dignity. Together, we continue to build a stronger, more just, and inclusive future for all.
